Are you passionate about dog welfare and love working with children? Do you have experience in teaching or delivering presentations? Are you in the Dublin region? Dogs Trust Ireland is looking for enthusiastic individuals (Dublin based) to become Educational Workshop Presenter Volunteers and help us inspire the next generation to be responsible and caring dog owners.
What’s the Role?
As an Educational Workshop Volunteer, you will:
• Deliver interactive and engaging workshops to school children.
• Teach young people about responsible dog ownership and safety around dogs.
• Represent Dogs Trust Ireland’s mission and values in classrooms across the community.
Who Are We Looking For?
We’re looking for volunteers who are:
• Individuals with classroom experience.
• Confident and comfortable speaking in front of groups of children.
• Passionate about dog welfare and education.
• Friendly, approachable and professional.
What’s Involved?
To ensure you’re fully prepared and confident in your role, we provide:
• Comprehensive training on our workshop content and delivery.
• An induction session will be held to introduce you to Dogs Trust Ireland and our work.
• Ongoing support and guidance from our Education and Volunteer team.
As part of the recruitment process, you will need to:
• Complete Garda vetting.
• Provide two references.
• Attend the induction, training and shadowing sessions.
