How to make dog friendly biscuits

Ingredients

  • 470ml of water
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of alcohol glycerin based vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 700g wholewheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Method

  1. Blend wet ingredients together
  2. In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together to form a dough
  3. Sprinkle some flour on the counter and roll out your dough
  4. Cut the dough into small biscuits. You can use a cookie cutter to make different shapes
  5. Place biscuits onto a lined baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees celsius for 15 minutes
  6. Allow to cool before serving

These biscuits are a great treat and even though your dog will probably want to eat the whole batch, they should only be fed in moderation. We also recommend giving your dog less of their normal food if you are giving them one of these treats, so they're not over-feed. They will stay fresh for a few days in an air-tight container, so no need to worry about waste.

While all the ingredients listed above are safe for most dogs, please bear in mind that some could be sensitive to certain ingredients. If you have any concerns about what you should or shouldn't feed your dog, please speak to your vet.

Happy baking!

Please note: food enrichment should be fed to your dog in moderation and included in your dog's daily calorie intake. We recommend checking with your vet about new ingredients before adding to your dog’s diet.
